Z. Brown is our International Student Ambassador and is a high school student in the United States; who is currently enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Program (offers four high quality international education programmes to more than one million students in 146 countries).
She is interested in many things ranging from the Arts, Culture, Music, Sociology and Neuroscience. She is an avid reader. She is a great writer and loves to delve into the understanding of why human beings think the way they do. She has traveled to Nanjing, China; London; Paris; Spain and the United States. She further participates in a program called, Odyssey of the Mind ((DEFINITION: is a creative problem-solving competition involving students from kindergarten through college. Team members work together at length to solve a predefined problem (the Long-term Problem); and present their solution to the problem at a competition. They must also participate in the Spontaneous portion of the competition by generating solutions to a problem they have not seen before. While the Long-term Problem solution often takes many months to complete and involves various elements of theatrical performance, construction and design, the Spontaneous portion occurs the day of the competition).
Ms. Brown has furthered a studies by taking a a two week college course in Bio-Med at her local University. She is writing and intends to be part of the TEDXTEEN this hear in 2015 or 2016.
A few years ago, Ms. Brown was a part of the Model UN with the United Nations Foundation. This prepared her for her recent trip to the United Nations to participate in this past August 2015 International Youth Day. While also visiting the United Nations, Ms. Brown, attended one of the Indigenous Panel Discussions. Further for her trip this past August 2015, Ms. Brown visited with Global Poverty Project to learn more about their advocacy to end extreme poverty, along with Luis Maldonado one of Listen Give’s fellow students. Her trip this August 2015, culminated with her meeting the first Woman Ambassador of Bhutan.
